DRUG & ALCOHOL PROGRAM

Over the last several years the CSDGP has identified Drug and Alcohol as an important area for the focus of support and resources delivery to GPs.

Building Partnerships
In 2004, the CSDGP achieved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Sydney Area Drug Health Services, signaling a formal commitment on both sides to the process. Following this MoU, we continue to build strong links between GPs, Drug Health Services and local non government drug and alcohol non service providers.

Drug Health Services intake number : 9515 6311, hours of operation 0830 to 1700 Monday to Friday.

After hours number is for ADIS (Alcohol and Drug Info Service) 9361 8000 for after hours information and advice

Resources, links and clinical guidelines (click title for resources)
The Project is in the process pf producing a number of resources, including clinical guidelines, to facilitate better communication between GPs and drug & alcohol services. For these GPs we will be developing a list of key names and numbers for staff at Drug Health Services and a directory of NGO drug and alcohol services for the Inner West.
